How much will I actually get?
It depends on the make and model, its weight, whether the engine and panels can be reused, and where scrap prices sit that week. A stripped small hatch and a late-model ute with a good motor are worth very different amounts, which is why we quote each car individually rather than advertising one figure.
Do I need a roadworthy certificate?
No. You’re selling the car as it sits. No RWC, no repairs, and no need to get it running first.
What if it’s unregistered, or I’ve lost the keys?
Both are fine and neither stops the sale. Tell us when you call so the driver brings the right gear.
What do I need to have ready at pickup?
Photo ID and proof you own the car. Take your belongings out, and remove the plates if it’s still registered so you can return them to VicRoads and claim any refund.
Can I sell a car that still has finance on it?
Not until the loan is settled, because the finance company holds an interest in the car. Talk to your lender first, then give us a call.
